Tashuara Washington charged in knife attack
Slatington woman assaulted man in Allentown
Nineteen-year-old Tashuara Washington of Slatington has been charged with assault after slashing a man in the head shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday in Allentown.
A fight began outside a thrift store in the 100 block of N. 7th Street, near the LANTA bus terminal, according to city police.
Police said while Washington went into the store her sister, Latice Hamilton of Allentown, waited outside with two children in strollers.
An argument began when Hamilton told Wilbert Williams of Allentown, who was walking by, that he was being too loud. The argument escalated and became physical. Police said Washington came out of the store, grabbed a pocket knife from one of the strollers, and slashed Williams in the head. Police said he suffered "a minor cut."
Washington was charged with simple assault. Hamilton and Williams were cited for disorderly conduct.
