ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Three teenagers have been arrested for carrying out a series of strong-armed purse robberies in Allentown, police said.

Three male juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were involved in three separate purse snatchings this month in the area of South 4th and South 5th streets, according to police.

Police say the fist incident happened on Nov. 10 when the teens stole a purse from a 51-year-old victim outside Kmart on South 4th Street.

The teens struck again on Nov. 18, when they stole a purse from a 66-year-old woman outside Walgreen's on South 5th Street.

The third time was no charm for the teens. Their attempt to rob a purse from a woman at the Mountainville Shopping Center was thwarted when the woman refused to let go of her purse, police said.

No one was seriously injured in any of the incidents, police said.
