Thomas Lee Bono jailed for assault with hands
Incident happened late Sunday in Allentown
Thomas Lee Bono III, 26, of Allentown has been jailed after an "assault with hands" incident in the city late Sunday night.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight in a home in the 2900 block of Highland Street.
Expecting a pizza deliveryman, the homeowner opened his garage door when his doorbell rang, according to police. The suspect ran through the garage and went downstairs, where another man was sitting at a bar.
The suspect punched that man. The victim was struck in the face, causing swelling and a small cut about his right eye. The homeowner tried to break up the fight. The suspect fled the home before police arrived.
Bono was arrested without incident at his home in the 1000 block of North 19th Street.
He has been charged with criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment.
He was committed to Lehigh County Prison Monday after being unable to post $15,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 14.
