Three people were arrested in a prostitution sting at an Allentown hotel.
Allentown police said the arrests were made Dec. 7 as part of an investigation into online solicitations. An Allentown detective viewed an online ad showing provocative photos of two young women and offering a sexual encounter in exchange for cash at the Rodeway Inn on Downeyflake Lane, according to court documents.
The detectives then called the number listed in the ad and arranged to meet the women at one of the hotel's rooms, according to court documents.
An undercover detective arrived at the room and handed over cash. Shortly thereafter, the two women were taken into custody along with their alleged pimp, according to court documents.
During the investigation, police said they found heroin and cocaine along with dozens of needles.
Melissa Colling, 21, of North Syracuse, N.Y., and Allison Borowski, 18, of Chittenango, N.Y., were both charged with prostitution and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Jamel Blalock, 39, of Syracuse, N.Y., was arrested for allegedly arranging the encounter. Charges against Blalock include promoting prostitution and possessing heroin and cocaine.
The three suspects were arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Michael Faulkner. All three were taken to Lehigh County Prison.
