Authorities continue to investigate a deadly mobile home explosion in Moore Township, Northampton County.
William Neith Sr., 65, was killed in the explosion that happened around 9:15 p.m. Friday at 118 Hickory Hills Drive off of Route 512.
The Northampton County Coroner's Office said Netih died from blunt force trauma; the manner of death remains under investigation. No one else was inside the home at the time of the explosion, according to the coroner's office.
Neighbors were stunned by the sudden explosion, which resulted in debris flying through the air and hitting other structures.
Michael Hodulik said, "Scary. Nothing but scary. I mean it was out of nowhere. Friday night and a big explosion in my own neighborhood."
Another neighbor, Tom Hodulik, said, "It rattled me, almost directly off the couch. You could feel it. I ran outside in just in my bare feet and didn't know where it was coming from. Then I looked up the road and there were just massive flames."
A relative of Neith tells 69 News the home that exploded had been having heating problems, and that Neith did smell odors of gas in the days leading up to the explosion.
