UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. -

Two men are accused of stealing equipment from an 88-year-old farmer in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

Police say the arrests come as a result of an investigation that has been continuing since the June 12 incident.

On that day, police say the owner of the Haaf Road property owner witnessed old farm equipment being stolen.

Officials said it was later determined the equipment was sold for scrap metal at United Compressed Steel in Allentown.

Police said subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 19-year-old Matthew Strain and 22-year-old Thomas Strain on charges of criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Both suspects were arraigned Saturday and each released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
