BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

Pennsylvania's primary election day was Tuesday, but the winner of the Democratic nomination in the Bethlehem mayoral race wasn't decided until early Wednesday morning.

Robert Donchez took the win over William Reynolds, who conceded the election Wednesday afternoon.

69 News Election Central's unofficial numbers have the close race coming down to 243 votes.

It was a hotly contested campaign, with both candidates focusing heavily on economic development.

Donchez, who currently serves on Bethlehem City Council, also said he'll reorganize City Hall to make it more cost efficient.

Donchez is expected to be the city's next mayor as no Republican candidate entered the race for mayor.
