EASTON, Pa. -

Officials are reporting a water main break in Easton.

The break occurred at about 6:37 p.m. on Monday at Davis and Berwick St. on the South side.

The Northampton County Commissioner said the Easton Suburban Water Authority is currently dealing with the break.

Officials are not sure why the break happened, however, no evacuation was necessary.

The situation is also isolated to the road.

Officials say Easton Suburban Water Authority has a foreman on hand and he will stay until everything is cleared up.

They estimate this will take between two to three hours, but they are sure things will clear up by morning.
