EASTON, Pa. -

The woman accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her own church has turned herself in.

Fifty-one-year-old Ann Marie Ballentine worked for more than a decade as treasurer of Easton's First Presbyterian Church on Spring Garden Street.

She's facing theft and related charges in connection with the embezzlement of more than $300,000.

The Palmer Twp. resident is now free after posting bail.

Ballentine is also on leave from her job in special education with the Easton Area School District.
