EASTON, Pa. -

A woman who was angry about her boyfriend talking on the phone with his ex hit him in he head with a glass crucifix, officials said.

Cynthia C. Smith injured the right side of her boyfriend's forehead after she flung the crucifix at him during an argument in her apartment in the 200 block of Taylor Avenue in Easton around 2:50 a.m. Monday, officials said.

Smith's boyfriend had a cut above his right eyebrow, as well as bruising and swelling, officials noted.

Smith, 47, was arraigned on assault and harassment charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. Dec. 16.
