Mall effort results in 1,000 cards sent to troops

Shoppers take break to send cards to troops away from home
Thousands of troops serving overseas will get a little extra holiday cheer, thanks to Lehigh Valley shoppers.
As part of the Red Cross' Holiday Mail for Heroes program, shoppers at the Lehigh Valley Mall took time to write cards for troops who can't be home for the holidays.
69 News first brought you the story back on Black Friday.
Organizers estimate nearly 1,000 cards were collected and delivered as part of the effort.
