A man was pistol-whipped during a robbery in Allentown, police said.
The holdup happened around 3:30 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of North Irving Street when a man was robbed and pistol-whipped by another man wearing a ski mask and dark clothes, according to police.
The robber took an empty wallet and fled on foot toward Union Boulevard, police said.
The victim, who was bleeding from a head wound, was taken to a hospital for stitches.
