The body of a badly burned man was found over the weekend inside a car in a remote area off Route 512, near Jacobsburg Road, in Plainfield Twp., Northampton Co., officials said.

The deceased person is a man, but he hasn't been identified, the coroner said.

An autopsy has been performed on the body, but the cause and manner of death are pending.
