Authorities have identified a person who was killed in an accident Monday afternoon.

Thomas Morganelli was killed when his motorcycle crashed into the back of a car that was waiting to turn left off Mountain Road in Washington Twp., Northampton Co., officials said. It happened around 3:55 p.m.

The motorcycle glanced off the rear bumper of the car and went into oncoming traffic, where it was struck by an SUV. Morganelli was thrown from the motorcycle, which came to rest under the first car before catching fire.

Morganelli died at the scene from multiple injuries, according to the coroner.

No one in either of the other vehicles was injured.
