Northampton Community College is using photos to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.

A photo exhibit at the college's main campus chronicles the March on Washington and Martin Luther King's historic "I Have A Dream a Speech."

The exhibit is sponsored by the College Life organization and the Forum for Peace, Justice and Conflict Resolution.

During Wednesday's exhibit the video of the "I Have a Dream Speech" was shown at the exact minute it happened 50 years ago.

"To me, this was kind of the kick off of what we think of as the 1960s and all the social movements and activities that came from the 1960s and 1970s," said professor Jim Von Schilling.

The college is inviting everyone to the free exhibit.

It runs through September 12th in the Laub Lounge.
