An area school district wants to warn residents about an intern imposter who may want to collect personal information from them.
The administrative office at the Nazareth Area School District got a call Monday from a family living in the Lower Nazareth Elementary School area saying a man knocked on her door July 5 and asked for family and curriculum information.
The man identified himself as Kai. He was described as a male Asian in his early 20s.
The district says it did not authorize anyone as an intern for the purpose of collecting information from school district families.
Officials said if they ever need information, the superintendent will inform school district families ahead of time.
Any individuals collecting official school district information will have Nazareth Area School District identification.
Residents are encouraged to contact police if they see any unusual activity.
