New proposal targets vacant building in Catasauqua
There's a new proposal on the table in Lehigh County-- targeting what some consider an eyesore in Catasauqua.
Weston Solutions of West Chester wants to buy the vacant F.L. Smidth property on Front Street.
Weston would then sell about 2.5 acres of the 12 acre site to the borough so that Catasauqua can move its police, fire and administrative offices there.
The remaining portion would be developed as luxury apartments.
The plan must be reviewed by the borough's council and solicitor.
