An elderly Northampton County woman has died, days after a crash in Bangor.

The accident happened Sunday around 2 p.m. in the 400 block of Market Street.

Police said 89-year-old Harold Heckman of Nazareth was behind the wheel when he hit another vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.

Both he and his passenger, 82-year-old Doris Heckman, also of Nazareth, were taken to Pocono Medical Center and later transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Officials said Doris died of her injuries Thursday.

Harold is still in critical condition.
