Students at Northampton Community College want people to get back to nature.

The school celebrated the "farm-to-table" movement Thursday.

Culinary students prepared vegetarian dishes using fresh, locally-grown ingredients including some from the school's own garden.

An instructor at the school says most people who try the dishes are pleasantly surprised.

"They didn't think because it was vegan that it was gonna taste as good as it did and it really did taste wonderful," said Susan Roth.

The event was funded by the Kellyn Foundation -- a healthy-eating non-profit based in Bethlehem.
