Northampton Community College to charge flat rate for most

Northampton Community College is changing its tuition rates to help students get their degrees faster.

Starting this fall, NCC will charge a flat rate for in-county, full-time students. They'll be allowed to take anywhere from 12 to 18 credits for $1,845.

The flat rate, officials said, will encourage students to accelerate their studies.

Out-of-county students will also be charged a flat rate, but it varies depending on county.

Part-time, in-county students will continue to pay per credit.
