The Northampton County Council wants to ground plans to sell Braden Airpark in Forks Township.
The council has passed a resolution that opposes the sale.
The Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority is talking about selling off its properties to help settle a $16 million debt. The 80-acre airpark is one of the properties in question.
Council members said selling it off and turning it into something else would increase small plane traffic at the Lehigh Valley International Airport and could put too many demands on Forks Township's infrastructure.
