Parkland students, staff collect 20,000 items for Second Harvest Food Bank
SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -

Students and staff in a Lehigh County school district are joining forces to fight hunger.

The Parkland School District collected more than 20,00 items for the Second Harvest Food Bank in Allentown as part of its annual community service event.

On Thursday students gathered at the high school in South Whitehall Twp. to load all of the boxes onto a truck for delivery.

This is the seventh year the district has made a donation to the food bank.
