HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

An empty gas tank led to the arrest of a man wanted for stealing a car from a dealer's lot, police said.

Devon Morrissey broke into the Faulkner car dealership in Hanover Twp., Northampton Co., on Tuesday and stole a customer's car that was there for service, police said.

Morrissey, 19, pulled into the Valley Forge National Park in Montgomery County as the car ran out of gas, police said. That's when he was arrested.

Morrissey, of Phoenixville, Chester Co., was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property. An additional charge of burglary is pending, police said.

Morrissey was committed to the Northampton County Prison on $75,000 bail.
