Allentown police are investigating after a man was stabbed early Sunday.
It happened in the 600 block of Ridge Avenue around 1:45 a.m.
Police said they arrived at the scene and found Kenny Tirado with a stab wound to the back.
Tirado told police he was walking down the street when two black men wearing white t-shirts demanded he give them money. Tirado said he refused, and the men threw him to the ground, then fled the scene. It was after the men left that Tirado realized he had been stabbed, police said.
Tirado was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the criminal investigations unit.
