EASTON, Pa. -

A man is facing charges for hitting a mother and her infant while he was brandishing a knife, officials said.

Shakim McNeil struck Brook Hill and her 11-month-old daughter, whom she was holding, several times on Saturday in their home at 946 Butler St., Easton, while he held a switchblade near them, saying, "I will cut you," officials said.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw blood coming from Hill's nose and the switchblade near McNeil, officials said.

McNeil, 36, whose address is also listed in court papers as 946 Butler St., Easton, was arraigned on charges of making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, possessing prohibited offensive weapons and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Oct. 30.
