Investigators spent Tuesday evening searching for information surrounding a shootout that injured two people.

Allentown Police were dispatched to the area of New and Allen streets just before 6 p.m. for reports of a shooting, police confirm.

The victims were identified by police as 18-year-old Ashley Nieves and 19-year-old Joshua Livingston, both of Allentown.  One was rushed to the hospital via an ambulance, the other drove themselves. 

Police said neither wound was life-threatening and both were recovering.

There is no word yet on what lead to the shooting.
