Easton police have upgraded a charge in connection with a deadly fight on Christmas Eve.

Police have charged Antonio Ortiz with homicide in the death of Andres Ruiz-Avelizapa.

Police say Ruiz-Avelizapa tried to break up a fight between Ortiz and his girlfriend in the 400 block of Northampton Street in Easton.

Police say Ortiz punched Ruiz-Avelizapa and the man later died.

The Northampton County Coroner ruled the case a homicide earlier this month.
