Route 22 near Easton was closed for a few hours Wednesday following the spill of a hazardous chemical.
The incident happened around noon Wednesday when two five gallon containers of sodium hypochlorite fell off a vehicle, fire officials said.
Route 22 West was closed between the 3rd Street interchange and the toll bridge for nearly four hours while hazmat crews worked to clean up the spill. Both lanes of Route 22 East reopened after being closed about three hours.
PennDOT is now reviewing video recorded by traffic cameras in an effort to identify the vehicle that lost the containers.
