Suspect in Bethlehem cold case - Francisco Miranda -- admits to fatal stabbing
Extradited from Dominican Republic, Miranda says he stabbed Jorge Velazquez in 1994
A man accused of killing another man nearly 20 years ago admitted to the crime, police said.
Jorge Velazquez, Jr., was stabbed to death in the summer of 1994.
U.S. Marshals arrested 50-year-old Francisco Miranda in the Dominican Republic in November, and extradited him back to the United States in February.
Bethlehem police figured out Velasquez was stabbed after a group of people were playing dominoes at a home in the 600 block of Aaron Street on the city's south side, near the former Bethlehem Steel.
In a police interview last month, Miranda admitted he stabbed Velazquez, then fled to the Dominican Republic.
