ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

For the 161st year the Great Allentown Fair is open for business, offering farm animals, funnel cakes and summer's last hurrah.

The gates opened Tuesday at the fair which runs through Labor Day Monday, September 2nd.

Once again the fair is featuring top notch musical acts.

This year's headliners include the likes of John Mayer, Toby Keith and the Zac Brown Band.

Along with the music you'll find thrill rides, a demolition derby and thousands of farm, garden and home exhibit competitions.

"There are so many things to see and do," said fair organizer Bonnie Brosious. "The culinary contest, cooking live stage, things at the farmer 'ramma'."

This year's fair is giving a special tribute to the "Old West."

Visitors can stop by the Frontier Village where the 1800s are brought back to life.
