Traffic stop on I-78 yields $10,000 in drug money, police say
K-9 search reveals drug-laced loot
A K-9 unit found a large stash of money after state police stopped a car on Interstate 78.
When troopers pulled over the vehicle for a traffic stop at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, they didn't realize what they'd find.
The driver was 32-year-old Alan Lutrell Johnson of Berkeley, West Virginia, and police pulled him over on the eastbound side of I-78, near mile marker 56.8 in Allentown.
A search, with permission from Johnson, yielded $10,000 in cash. The money was seized after K9 'Dano' found the odor of a narcotic on the money.
The investigation continues.
