Pennsylvania's voter ID law is heading back to the courtroom.
State Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson says he's leaning toward holding a trial next summer.
He met with lawyers in the case Thursday.
The former Northampton County judge is expected to make a ruling in two weeks.
State officials want Simpson to fast-track the case so a final ruling can be made before May's primary election.
The plaintiffs say they need more time to prepare for the case.
