BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A water main break is affecting some residents in the west side area of Bethlehem.

It happened Friday morning along 8th Avenue.

According to the city's website, residents may experience low pressure or cloudy water. Officials are recommending that residents avoid drinking the water, cooking with it or washing clothes.

The post on the website says that if you experience discolored or cloudy water, you should run cold water faucets for only a few minutes at a time.

If your water does not clear up within 24 hours, you are asked to contact Water Control at 610-865-7077.
