A woman who allegedly used her sister's name and address after being stopped by police on suspicion of driving under the influence is facing more than a dozen charges, officials said.
Kimberly A. Knight was arraigned on 14 charges late Wednesday night in connection with an incident at 2:35 a.m. May 6 on Riverview Drive, near the Treichlers Bridge, in Lehigh Twp., Northampton Co., officials said.
Knight identified herself to police as Christina Daily and said she lived at 58 Boudman Road in Millville, Columbia Co., and was born on Nov. 11, 1969, officials said.
Knight signed her name as Christina Daily when she was taken to Palmerton Hospital for a blood alcohol test, and three other times after she was brought back to Lehigh Township police headquarters to be photographed and fingerprinted, officials said.
Police discovered Knight's true identity through a law enforcement Web site, which had a photo from Knight's 2003 driver's license as well as a 2011 photo, officials said.
Police were told by Christina Daily's husband, Greg, that Knight is his wife's sister.
The charges against Knight, 41, of 337 N. Fifth St., Lehighton, include DUI, driving with a suspended license, identity theft, forgery and swearing falsely to authorities, court papers show.
Knight was committed to the Northampton County Prison on $25,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 17.
