Police in Allentown have found a driver they say was involved in a hit and run accident Wednesday night that sent one woman to the hospital.

It happened at the intersection of Ninth and Linden streets around midnight.

Police say a pickup truck driven by 61-year-old Pietro Presto of Easton, hit Beth Pannett, 40, of Phillipsburg, N.J., while she was crossing the street.

Police stopped Presto in the area of Third and Hamilton streets, thanks to help from witnesses and city surveillance cameras.

Pannett was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they plan to file charges against Presto.
