A woman from Lehigh County has died after a car accident in North Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., officials said.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 4800 block of Shankweiler Road.

Officials said Karen Beahn, 66, of North Whitehall Twp. was killed after her vehicle crashed into a tree.  No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The Lehigh County coroner said Beahn died from multiple traumatic injuries sustained from the crash.

State Police in Bethlehem are handling the investigation.
