A woman has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the beating of her infant son.

Chelsie Grant, of Coopersburg, Lehigh Co., pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault.

Grant's son was taken to a hospital earlier this year for treatment of numerous fractures and possible nerve damage, officials said.

Doctors told police the injuries were not accidental.

Grant was originally facing trial for attempted murder, but that charge was withdrawn in February.

Grant faces 10 to 20 years behind bars when she is sentenced in September.
