A man is facing charges after allegedly cutting his wife's head open with a glass object and hitting her in the face several times, officials said.
Jose E. Menjivar threw the glass object and punched his wife Glenda with a balled fist three or four times in their home at 4534 Steeplechase Dr., Forks Twp., Northampton Co., around 11 p.m. Tuesday, officials said.
Glenda Menjivar was wearing a towel around her head that was covered in blood when police arrived, officials said, adding that she was taken to the hospital, where she received 10 stitches to close the cut.
Jose Menjivar, 40, was arraigned on charges of assault, reckless endangerment and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 27.
