A different kind of New Year's Day tradition had teeth chattering in Allentown on Wednesday.
About two dozen people gathered at Trout Creek Park for the annual polar plunge.
The group has been jumping into the freezing water every New Year's Day for the past 13 years.
After the plunge, some of the participants said they would be back again next year, but maybe just to watch.
"I'm freezing! It's good, I'm good. I'll never do it again," said Kori Holtzman, who jumped into the water with her husband.
The plungers ranged in age from 8-years-old to their mid-70s, and they said to really make the jump count, you have to go under water.
