The chairman of the Philadelphia Phillies paid a visit to the Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

Bill Giles spoke to a crowd at the Bethlehem Rotary Club. He spoke mainly about baseball and the future of the Phillies, and Giles is predicting a big rebound from the boys next year.

"Well, the good news about having a bad year, the 1979 Phillies had a bad year, and we won the World Series the next year," Giles said. "And then in 1992, we finished dead last and we won the [National League] pennant in 1993, so that's what I'm looking forward to."

Giles also talked about baseball's role in the healing process after the 9/11 attacks.
