A drug dealer was found with a container of rice that had seven packets of heroin, including one with a picture of the White House and the word "President" stamped in red, officials said.
Jamar A. Montanez was picked up with the container, two cell phones and $34 in cash at East 4th and Adams streets in Bethlehem at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Montanez told police the $34 he had was from selling four packets of heroin on Wednesday, and that he sells about 50 packets of heroin a week, turning a profit of $200, officials said.
Montanez also said he uses his Samsung Boost Mobile cell to arrange the drug transactions, and that he himself is not a user, officials added.
Montanez, 18, of 601 Itaska St., Bethlehem, was arraigned on charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $8,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. June 14.
