EASTON, Pa. -

A Northampton County man has reached a plea deal in a shooting in Bethlehem.

Kenneth Ortega pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and related charges, according to court documents. In exchange, attempted homicide charges were dropped.

Ortega shot a man in the leg near the Marvine-Pembroke housing project in Bethlehem in January, police said.

The victim survived. Ortega was arrested several days later in Florida.
