A group of Lehigh Valley students got to see a months-long project come full circle Friday.

In April, students at the Lehigh Valley Dual Language Charter School collected dozens of pairs of shoes.

Over the summer, one of the kids' teachers delivered the shoes to needy children in Nicaragua.

On the first day of school, the students got to see photos of the children wearing the donated shoes, and Friday, a representative from Nicaragua came to their classroom to thank the kids in person.
