Mayoral candidate says Allentown education's "fallen by wayside"
An Allentown mayoral candidate is talking about the "A-B-C's" of his education plan.
Independent Michael Donovan said he believes education is a "cornerstone" of the city.
He delivered his speech in front of the school administration building and just across from City Hall.
"These two buildings, so close in structure, need to remain close in partnership," said Donovan.
The candidate also unveiled his six-point plan for education which he says has been "left to the wayside."
Donovan is a professor of business and economics at Cedar Crest College.
He also served as Vice President of the city council for two years.
