ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A New York City man who police said went on a rampage at a hotel in Allentown has learned his fate.

Felix Aponte was sentenced Tuesday to two to four years in prison. He reached a plea deal last month.

Officials said Aponte assaulted his wife at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Hamilton Street in July. Police said he also tried to smother his twin one-year-old sons and threw his older son across the room before punching a police officer.

The babies were alert and breathing after the incident, police said.
