EASTON, Pa. -

Police are investigating after shots rang out in Easton Tuesday afternoon just moments after children were getting off of a school bus in the 1400 block of Ferry Street.

"When your kids are just getting off the bus in the middle of the daytime that's when it gets scary," said Ferry Street resident Jay Gallo.

According to police, two houses and one parked vehicle were struck by gunfire shortly before 4 p.m.

"Especially since it's in the middle of the daytime that means people just don't care you know," Gallo said.

A group of individuals who were on a porch at 1410 Ferry Street were the targets of the shooting, police said.

Multiple individuals from the residence fled prior to police arrival.

Police are searching for a small blue vehicle with possibly a female driver who fled the scene west on Ferry Street. The vehicle was occupied by several black males.

Individuals from the residence were uncooperative with police.

The EPD crime unit processed the scene which included seizing the parked vehicle. The vehicle will be searched at a later date once a search warrant is obtained. The vehicle was being utilized by one of the individuals associated with the targeted residence.

The EPD Vice Unit obtained a narcotics search warrant for 1410 Ferry Street after evidence was discovered during the shooting investigation. After a search of the residence, two loaded semi-automatic handguns and marijuana were discovered.

Tajah Jasper was arrested on scene and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation into the ownership of the handguns is ongoing, according to police.
