EASTON, Pa. -

Police said they now know who was behind Easton's first homicide of 2016.

Police on Thursday identified Jeffrey Raymond as the suspect in the killing of Michael Bond, who was fatally shot on May 9 in the 600 block of Church Street.

Raymond, 22, is still on the run, possibly in New York City, and considered by police to be armed and dangerous.

Bond, 35, 'was getting out of his car when the shots rang out, said police, who immediately began looking for a white Subaru that was believed to be the suspect's getaway car.

Detectives, however, said they got little cooperation from people in the neighborhood. Police said the criminal homicide charge against Raymond was the result of a joint investigation with the Northampton County district attorney's office and the current grand jury.

If you see Raymond, you're urged to call 911.
