NEW YORK -

A Trans-Bridge Lines bus crashed into two tourists in New York City Monday and one was critically injured.

Police said the Bethlehem-based bus was making a left turn just before 8 a.m. around 10th Avenue and 47th Street when it hit two women, who were tourists from Spain.

One of the women was pinned under the bus and the other injured her leg, and officials said neither injury was life-threatening.

The bus was empty at the time and heading to a parking facility.

Trans-Bridge officials said the driver has been with the company for 10 years, and the company only hires drivers with excellent driving and safety records.

Police said the driver remained at the scene while they investigated.
