WALNUTPORT, Pa. -

Three people were rescued from the Lehigh River at the Walnutport Bridge Wednesday night.

At around 9 p.m., crews were sent to the Walnutport Bridge for a swift-water rescue.

According to authorities, two of the three were rescued fairly quickly, but the third was considered missing until the rescue was completed around 9:25 p.m.

Crews on scene told 69 News that the three people, all 20 years-old, were floating on inner-tubes when they got caught on some rocks.

They suffered some minor cuts and bruises but refused medical assistance at the scene.
