VINELAND, N.J. -

Authorities have charged a man with drunken driving for a sixth time, just four days after he was freed on bail.

Anderson Sotomayor threw a beer from his car after it ran up a curb and struck a pole outside a store Thursday, said Vineland, N.J. police.

The Vineland Daily Journal reported Sotomayor also was charged with contempt of court for failing to appear for a conference on a drug possession charge stemming from his fifth drunken driving arrest.

Sotomayor was previously charged with drunken driving five times during a five-week period. A bondsman on Monday posted $20,000 bail after Sotomayor spent more than a month in jail.

He's also accused of swerving around a school bus as it unloaded kids, before he hit a stop sign.
